On September 9, under the theme of "Accelerating the building of a leading area for socialist modernization to better serve overall reform and opening-up", the Conference on Central Enterprises Boosting High-quality Development of Shanghai was held in Beijing and Shanghai via video link. Hao Peng, Party Secretary and Chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council; and Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Mayor of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, attended the conference and delivered speeches in Beijing and Shanghai respectively.
GienTech Project, whose lead investor in Shanghai is SIG, was among the 30 projects signed by the central government and the local governments. Zhou Lei, Vice President of SIG, attended the conference and signed the contract.
Headquartered in Shanghai, GienTech is a holding subsidiary of China Electronics Corporation, as well as China's largest financial digitalization consulting service and software provider. It was selected as a "Technological Renovation Demonstration Enterprise" by the State Council in 2022. With focus on the building of Shanghai Fintech Center, SIG and GienTech will speed up the digital transformation of Shanghai's financial industry to develop Shanghai into a highland for emerging industries.
